New Route Network
Norwalk Transit Unveils Network
After more than 18 months of research, planning, and community input, Norwalk Transit District is preparing to launch a new route network designed to better connect riders to the places they need to go. This comprehensive redesign replaces the previous segmented system with a more connected network that focuses on key travel corridors.
By streamlining routes and improving connections, the new network will increase frequency along major corridors, reduce wait times, and make it easier for riders to move between neighborhoods, job centers, and community destinations. Riders can expect more predictable service, with buses arriving more often on the busiest routes and schedules that better align with peak travel needs.
The goal of this redesign is simple: create a system that works for today’s riders and supports future growth. Every decision — from the structure of the routes to the timing of each bus — has been shaped by data, rider feedback, and a commitment to improving service quality.
Whether you ride every day or just occasionally, the new network is built to make your trip faster, simpler, and more reliable. We look forward to welcoming you aboard and helping you get where you need to go — when you need to be there.
